Why settle for flowers that wilt in days? This breathtaking flower bowl candle is a stunning, long-lasting alternative—and it’s easier to make than it looks. Follow our step-by-step guide to create a unique gift that’s both elegant and enduring.
Silicone Flower Moulds
(We used peonies, rhododendrons, and carnations)
Small Wooden Skewers
1. Create Your Candle Base
Start by making your candle in the Cambridge bowl using your preferred bowl colour and four ACS 5.0 wicks. Once poured, scent and colour the wax to your liking—or leave it a crisp, clean white like we did.
2. Pour and Prepare the Flower Melts
Melt your Soyaluna melt/pillar wax, then add liquid dye and fragrance. Pour into your silicone flower moulds. Since these will be used as melts (not burned with a wick), there’s no need to wick them.
3. Add Support for Your Florals
While the wax in the moulds is still soft, cut small wooden skewers in half. Gently insert one end into the back of each flower. Rest the skewers against others to keep them upright as they cool and set—there’s no need to pierce the mould.
4. Assemble Your Masterpiece
Once the flowers are fully set, gently demould them. Press the ends of the skewers into the surface of your finished candle, varying the heights for a layered, garden-inspired look. Fill any gaps with baby’s breath, ribbon, or decorative moss for added texture and charm.
✨ The Result?
A stunning centerpiece or thoughtful gift that captures the beauty of fresh flowers—without the shelf life.
