This fun take on the David and Madonna statues created a lot of mirth among my friends and family. I experimented with paraffin wax first and again with a 50:50 mix of soya and paraffin wax. The paraffin wax ones, being harder, lasted longer than the mixed ones, and an ACS 3 or 4 wick (rather than my initial larger wick) also improved longevity. Unmoulding them needs careful attention paid to the shoulders of the female torso in particular, as the left one broke off the first time, but I reattached it with a bit of melted wax! As the moulds are food grade silicone, I attempted to make a 'David and Madonna' with cooking chocolate, which turned out well, and again caused a lot of mirth. Well worth buying and trying out for a bit of fun.
